UC Emerging Leaders’ Scholarships, New Zealand

Guaranteed Scholarships The first award was made in 2003. In 2003, they were given the name "UC Emerging Leaders Scholarships'" to recognize not only academic achievement, but the potential leadership and sporting / cultural involvement among their best students to attend the University of Canterbury.
1. Guaranteed Scholarships will be known as the UC Emerging Leaders Scholarships'.
2. Scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to launch the first-year undergraduate degree program at the University of Canterbury, who have completed or are completing university entrance qualification, and who attend school in the year application or nomination.
3. Guaranteed Scholarships will be awarded to students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and who have applied to enroll at the University of Canterbury by 1 November in the year before their first year of enrollment.
4. Each scholarship will normally be maintained for one year and must be taken in the first year of university enrollment. This usually will be the year that follows the last year in school applicant. Civil Engineering Guaranteed Scholarship


This Guaranteed Scholarship is open to all international students starting degrees in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering in 2011.

Students must have filed an application and receive a letter of unconditional offer on the closing date scholarships for courses starting in 2011.

International Students Guaranteed Scholarships and Financial Aid


Guaranteed Scholarships They are designed to complement other sources of student finance. This allows limited funds to assist the largest number of students. Grant does NOT include tuition charge. Continuing students are eligible to enroll, but the incoming students are required to show that they are able to support them for a year while attending Texas A & M University. students enter their second year may apply for financial aid.

Roland Hemond Guaranteed Scholarship


Each Guaranteed Scholarship will allow a prospective student the opportunity to complete an undergraduate or master’s degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or may attend University of Phoenix online.


ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

Guaranteed Scholarship applicant must demonstrate the following should be considered:

Applicants who live in the United States must meet one of the following requirements: be a United States legal resident, has been granted permanent residency, have a valid visa that does not prohibit educational studies; has been granted temporary protected status along with approved Notice of Action issued by the Citizen Immigration Services and verified through CIS Form g-845, or has been granted asylum along with approved Notice of Action issued by Citizen Immigration Services.
Guaranteed Scholarship Applicants must be affiliated with Boys & Girls Club of Chicago (member / alumni, staff, parents or volunteers).
Applicants may not receive another scholarship from the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago.
Applicants, once registered, may not receive a total of 100% tuition reimbursement from any source (s) including but not limited to: replacement of the company, other scholarships and / or private grants with the exception of GI Veterans Administration benefits or Veterans Administration Vocational Rehabilitation Benefits and Title funding IV financial aid.
Applicants must not currently registered or in the learning process at each campus of the University of Phoenix online or in any program at any time prior to the date of the scholarship award. Applicants who apply after submitting the application or before the date of the scholarship awards are not eligible to be recipients of this scholarship.
Applicants must meet all admission requirements of the University of Phoenix.
Applicants do not have to be employees or family members of employees of Apollo Group, Inc., University of Phoenix, Western International University, Institute for Professional Development or another child of the Apollo Group, Inc.
Applicants must submit an application, complete, signed, along with all supporting documents on the deadline date listed in the Selection Process. Settlement of the application form does not create an obligation to award scholarships to applicants.
Applicants must submit a completed essay as described in the Essay. High importance will be placed on the applicant's desire to get ahead in their education, with emphasis on continuing their careers, and their impact on the communities in which they are located.

SELECTION PROCESS

This Guaranteed Scholarship opportunity is in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, a non-profit organization and the scholarship process is managed by a staff member at Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. The process includes, but is not limited to, application creation, application submission, selection committee formation and recipient list finalization. The application and any additional information submitted by eligible applicants will be subject to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago privacy and confidentiality policies, if any.
The recipient of this scholarship will be selected by the scholarship selection committee consisting of representatives from University of Phoenix and/or Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. Non-staff members may assist in the selection committee process.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit a complete and signed application along with all the supporting documentation, which must be received on or before the deadline date specified below. The scholarship selection committee accepts no responsibility for incomplete applications, applications not in proper form, lost applications, or any other submission in exception to the above instructions.
The scholarship award will be based on the committee’s scores of the overall quality of the application and the scholarship essay(s). The higher the average score, the higher the probability of selection.
